Acer’s new range of next-gen Aspire Netbooks available now

From last some days, blogger around the world writes much that netbook is the future of computing and Google proves it by introducing their various cloud based computing services. Acer and Asus already takes lead in the Netbook market. Acer currently claims 30.5 percent market share of the Global netbook market, and has shipped 1.8 million Netbooks in the first quarter of 2009.

To strengthen their netbook product line, Acer Launched  their new range of netbooks. Available colors include Diamond Black, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Seashell White, and both models weigh less than three pounds. Like other recent Acer laptops, the new Netbooks include multi-touch gesture support for the touchpads, letting users pinch, rotate of flip through content.

Ubuntu Server Edition 9.04

Being a linux enthusiast from the early computing days, I tested almost all variants of linux upto 2003. But now I am not in touch with latest linux distros. One of my client needs a linux server and I’ve not yet decided which distro I’ve to install on their server. So I googled up for the best linux distro and make a try to Ubuntu Server Edition.

So I download the ISO image of the Ubuntu Server for my 64bit AMD computer from Ubuntu Website and write it on a DVD. Than I’ve started the installation on a detachable HDD, Initially the installation was going good, but the problem was that Ubuntu Server Edition does not come with the feature “install everything”. This makes the installation a real painful task. By default, the installer doesn’t install the gnome window system. Since I was not in touch with linux, it was quite irritating for me as I forget almost all commands for Linux except some basics. It was installed on my computer but it is now running in text mode, I dont know how to use it. So I decided to give up Ubuntu Server.

Now I am going to download Ubuntu Desktop Edition for 64 bit, May be it will be useful for my purpose. Watch for the Updates!!!

How to install twitter widget in Blogger

There are two options to place the twitter widget in to blogger, that is automatically (special for those who use new blogger layout) and manually (for new blogger layout and classic blogger

layout). Here are the steps:

Automatically (special for new blogger layout):

1. Please sign in to twitter.com with your ID

2. Click Setting menu which is on the top-right of monitor screen

   

3. Click “You can also add Twitter to your site” link

   

4. Click Blogger logo, then click Continue button which is on bottom-right

   

5. Click “Add to blogger” banner, and automatically it brings you to blogger log in page

   

6. Log in to blogger with your ID
7. Choose the blog that you want to add the twitter widget

8. Click Add Widget button

   

9. The Widget will be added automatically to your blog
10. Done

Manually (special for new blogger layout)

Step #1

1. Please sign in to twitter.com with your ID
2. Click Setting menu which is on the top-right of monitor screen
3. Click “You can also add Twitter to your site here” link
4. Click blogger logo, then click Continue button which is on bottom-right

   

5. Copy the code given, paste it on notepad to make it easier
6. Step #1 Done

Step #2

1. Please log in to blogger with your ID
2. Click Layout
3. Click Page Element tab

4. Click Add a gadget

   

5. Click the sign (+) for HTML/JavaScript

   

6. Copy the code that you get from twitter before, paste into the available column
7. Click Save button
8. Done

Now your messages from twitter will be displayed on your own blog.
